TIMELINE: 2 WEEKS

A lot of my past icon work has been very on trend with minimalistic simple looking icons. I thought it would be fun to experiment with a style I would not normally use, which is why I took on a very bright color palette with a blend of old and new graphic styles. Music is a huge part of my life so I challenged myself to explore how to visually represent the field without the use of instruments or music notation, which it is most commonly associated with. All icons were created in Adobe Illustrator.

While exploring how to make GIFs, I thought it would be fun to incorporate my own designs and was able to animate something bold and playful. The GIF below was animated using Adobe Photoshop.
 

I also used the icons in the poster below as an idea for an advertisement for Terp Designers: a design meetup group on campus. I reset the colors and gave it a glitchy effect by using a subtle double exposure with the different elements in Adobe Photoshop. I also played with how to set the type and laid the icons out as if they were products to be examined by the viewer. I wanted the design to be bold in color and have something slightly modern to offer.
